Mono County Jail Inmate Information

What You Need For Visitation

As a visitor, you need to sign in 30 minutes before seeing an inmate and sign 30 minutes before ending the visit. Additionally, each visitor should produce the following:

Identification card; you can also give a birth certificate, social security card or any other document that the sheriff will approve

Every visitation lasts for 30 minutes

An inmate is allowed a maximum of 2 visits in a week

You may be liable for criminal prosecution if you bring unauthorized items.

No contact visits allowed at the Mono County Jail.

It would be best if you bought all necessities through the commissary.

The visitations are allowed Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Visitation Information

Every inmate is allowed to visit twice per week for one hour each time. Inmates in general population are allowed to have four 15 minute visits totaling one hour in total. Special handling inmates may also receive two 30 minute visits per week as well.

Sending Money To An Inmate

The easiest way to send money to an inmate at the Mono County Jail is by using MoneyGram. However, you need to check for the inmates’ correctional ID as it is required. Moreover, you should include the inmates’ names, your name, and the amount you are sending.

Note you cannot make deposits over the phone, and you will have to create an account first.
