What You Need For Visitation

In case you wish to visit an inmate at Berkeley Police Jail Facility, you will have to register with the facility as a visitor. Ensure you confirm this with prison authorities before making the trip, as you might get barred from seeing the inmate.

There are some rules for anyone visiting the Berkeley Police Jail Facility, including:

  • Any visitor can’t be a previous felon
  • One must come with a valid ID
  • A legal guardian is required for children below sixteen
  • The visitation hours are between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM all week through

Visitation Information

Every inmate is allowed to visit twice per week for one hour each time. Inmates in general population are allowed to have four 15 minute visits totaling one hour in total. Special handling inmates may also receive two 30 minute visits per week as well.

The Berkeley Police Jail Facility allows inmates to receive money through their commissary. There are several ways you can ensure the money reaches the inmate, including money orders, checks, or cash. Visitors also have the option of depositing money into the account.

You should ensure you correctly inset the inmate’s name and ID to ensure it reaches the right person.
